Well, that was a fail...

What can I say, shit happens.

When 're-launching' my blog I had every intention to post on here throughout summer. However, this is before I had found an internship and had lost hope that I would be getting one at all. But then... I got one!

My summer is now non-stop! I'm working four days a week for a modern outwear clothing company called Parka London as a Digital Content Creator, but I love it! So far my internship has consisted of scheduling the brands social media posts, writing up blog posts and newsletters, gallery visits and helping out on photoshoots etc. so it has been quite a varied role, and has really helped my confidence grow.

Here's a little taster of what I've been up to...

Chelsea Blue

I wore this to meet an old friend of mine (and my photographer for the day), Immie. This little meeting made me realise the importance of keeping in touch with friends and how great it feels to have a good ol' catch up. Although we don't see each other often, as cheesy as it might sounds, it's like time never passed when we do.

Little Gingham Playsuit

As I sit writing looking out to this grey, cold weather I can't believe it was a week ago I was wearing this and that I was stuffing my face with ice-cream. Fingers crossed it will brighten up soon and I can pop this cute little jumpsuit back on again. Literally it's the most comfortable thing and perfect for staying cool in the hot weather. On my feet I wore my new 'fake' Birkenstocks that I got the other day from TK Maxx for a bargain. I put a pop of pink on my nails to add a bit of colour to this monochrome number.

Zara Fulfilling My Gingham Dreams

I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with gingham. Growing up I've always been attracted to the print but could never find pieces that were right for me. They'd either not be the right style or they'd make me look like a five-year-old. In the past year, however, gingham is everywhere- in all colours and styles. I loved the trend at first, but then got bored of seeing everyone and their dog wearing it.

As the trend has slowly been dying down my love for gingham has started to grow back. Recently, Zara has just been hitting the nail on the head for creating unique gingham designs that aren't your average off the shoulder gingham top. I picked up these three gingham pieces about a week ago and have fallen in love.

Back On The Blog

I'm sure my vast following of seven will be delighted to hear that I am back!!

In all seriousness though I am very excited to start this blog up again and thought that this summer would be the perfect time to do so. Not only am I excited to start writing again, but I feel this blog will push me to experiment with my style a little more and do more exciting things with my summer.
